Day 7 review after nasal implant removal

<Removed implant>I had surgery to remove my nasal implant last Monday, the 29th. Before the surgery, I consulted with the director once more about the procedure and then went ahead with it. It was done under sedation followed by local anesthesia, and I felt like the surgery took quite a long time. After the surgery was over, the director came by and told me the surgery went well. Hearing that made me feel relieved. While I was resting briefly in the recovery room, I had a slight allergic reaction, so they immediately treated it with an allergy medication injection. On the day of surgery, there wasn’t much swelling, just some swelling around my nose and glabella area. But when I woke up after sleeping... there was swelling around my eyes, glabella, and forehead, and even bruising around my eyes. Then the swelling kept increasing, and on Wednesday, May 1, day 2, I visited the hospital. They removed the cotton inside my nose, disinfected it, I briefly saw the director, and then returned home. After taking out the cotton, I realized how happy it is to breathe through my noseㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ It was so hard sleeping while breathing through my mouth. I couldn’t sleep properly for two days with cotton inside my nose. The swelling and bruising peaked on day 4 and then gradually moved down toward my cheeks and around my mouth. So I drank a lot of pumpkin juice and did a lot of cold compresses. For warm compresses, I put them on my eyelids while sleeping. Maybe because of that, by around day 6 the swelling and bruising had gone down a lot. There is still swelling though...ㅎㅎ... and since my skin is oily too, my face feels grimy.. haㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ Today, day 7, I finally had the splint removed. My nasal bridge was originally very low, so I expected it, but as expected, I really don’t have much of a nasal bridge, even though it’s swollen!!! It’s not thereㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎ Still, the surgery went well, and during the consultation the director showed me the removed capsule and silicone. Also, the upturned nasal tip I had before removal had come down a lot after removal. I’m satisfied with just that. My nose is still very swollen... so it has a bit of a blunt Avatar-like nose look, but they said the swelling will go down more, so I’m going to trust that, do lots of compresses, and wait. If anyone is 고민ing about removal, as time passes, it will only get harder on your body and mind. I think getting a consultation first would be a good method tooㅎㅎ For now, I’ll only upload photos of the removed capsule and silicone. Once the bruising and swelling go down a lot, I’ll post a better follow-up review later.
