Removal after 12 years

I also got a lot of help from this community, so I’m not a good writer, but I’m writing a few lines for people considering removal. I read some posts so many times I almost memorized them. Through this post, I want to say thank you so much to the people who wrote those posts.

It’s been 3 days since I had it done. This morning, I removed the splint myself ^^ I originally thought, “I’ll write about it right away on the day I get it done!” but it hurt so much that I just couldn’t.. ㅠㅠ On the day of surgery, I was basically fainting and half-dead, and the next day I felt nauseous and my stomach didn’t feel good either. I originally wasn’t supposed to wear a splint, but because my condition was so bad, I ended up having one placed ㅠㅠ It was so uncomfortable I thought I’d die. For me, removal seems much more painful than the original surgery.. Was it because with the surgery, I endured it thinking, “At least I’ll become prettier”? Or maybe because it was so long ago haha Of course the shape is important to me, but I wasn’t someone who expected a huge cosmetic improvement~ I was someone who did it thinking I’d be thankful as long as it looked like a normal human nose, so I didn’t even do repositioning. There had originally been nothing in my nasal tip either, and the doctor said that repositioning is usually done, but I had no complaints about my nasal tip as it was, and if touching it made something hurt or made the shape not to my liking, I didn’t feel confident I could handle that. And during my first surgery, they shaved down my hump and inserted silicone, but when they opened it up, it turned out they had shaved my left hump area and glabella^^ (a complete mess), so I had an osteotomy. I was told it would become lower than my original noseㅠㅠ... sob, my nose.... The reason I removed it was that the silicone was showing through. That happened around the year before last, and I made up my mind to remove it around last year. Since I was busy living life, I slowly started looking into it around February, then seriously looked into it in April and went through with it. People’s minds really do change before and after going to the bathroom, as they say. Right now, because of the swelling, it at least looks like I still have some nasal bridge, so I hope it doesn’t go down haha I can already feel the bone right away though.. Still, I have no intention of doing silicone again. I can’t go through this surgery again ㅜ When I was young, I did it without fear, but not anymore...

First, I went to three hospitals. 1 A hospital that does both removal and plastic surgery Here, I told them it had been shaved down, but they said it hadn’t ^^..? No, doctor, it was shaved down.. Doctor = it wasn’t shaved down I honestly really liked the doctor.. You know how there are doctors you just feel drawn to. But I made my decision coldly, thinking all the way to the worst-case scenario. I heard there are doctors who just close it up even when it has been shaved, so of course I don’t know what they would have done, but since they firmly said it hadn’t been shaved, I passed.

2 The hospital where I had the removal Here, when I went, I was actually like, “?” I didn’t get an immediate strong feeling, but I liked all the photos they showed me, and when I saw independently posted review photos, I didn’t see anything bad. So I chose it. It was truly a godsend.. If I had gone somewhere else with my nasal bridge and glabella shaved down, I feel like they would have added something on top or woken me up midway and told me to choose... Actually, I was really flustered too when I woke up and heard they had done an osteotomy. I hadn’t heard anything like that and had thought they would just remove the silicone and refine the nasal bridge, but I never imagined I’d receive such a major surgery; Anyway, I think they shaped it well, at least so far.

3 Plastic surgery hospital Here, it was silicone removal only, so if I had done it there, it would’ve been a disaster... The hump was uneven and one side of the glabella was gone too^^;;

I really don’t think you should go into removal thinking, “Surely I won’t be the worst-case scenario.” As I saw in some post, it really is luck.. If you didn’t just have silicone inserted with nothing else done, please look into it carefully before doing it..! I also had such a headache because they say there are many brokers. If any broker happens to see this post, please at least don’t do that on the removal board. There are so many people here hurting more than you can imagine. Please don’t do that.

I can’t tell you hospitals 1 and 3. For the hospital I went to, if anyone needs it, please send me a message first and I’ll send it to you.
