Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews

6 months after double jaw surgery, happy with long chin and gummy smile correction

Hello. It has been 6 months since I had double jaw surgery and contouring surgery at Y Oral and maxillofacial surgery (square jaw, chin, and zygoma) Before the surgery, I had a long chin and a gummy smile, so I had a lot of appearance-related concerns since my school days. As I got older and lost cheek fat, the long chin became even more noticeable, so I decided to go ahead with double jaw surgery. First of all, the reason I chose Y Oral was the director's aesthetic sense and the fact that they disclose the operating room CCTV. The recovery process for the first week after surgery was so hard that I really regretted having the surgery many times I had trouble breathing, couldn't sleep properly, and couldn't eat, so my stamina dropped to the bottom I held out for 2 weeks after seeing reviews saying things got a little better after the stitches were removed… After the stitches came out, I was able to eat more kinds of food and my stamina came back a lot, so I could feel my normal daily life returning! Because I was worried about the pins, I barely ate anything that seemed even slightly difficult to chew until the 2-month mark. From the 3-month mark, the swelling visibly went down compared to the beginning, and for people seeing me for the first time, my surgery was so natural that they couldn't tell at all. People around me even said my chin looked much shorter and complimented me on looking prettier than before! Now that I'm at 6 months, I can eat a wide variety of foods just like before surgery, and I think the remaining swelling is also gradually going down. The stitch marks from the zygoma surgery are almost gone. I still feel a pulling sensation inside my mouth, and sometimes when I chew, it feels like the teeth aren't mine, but the postoperative side effects related to chin sensation and lip sensation have completely returned. Now I am so, so satisfied with the look of not showing my gums even when I smile widely and the shortened long chin that I don't regret the surgery at all.
