These days I can eat and talk with almost no discomfort, so I'm just living as usual It's already been 7 months since I had double jaw and contouring surgery with Director Shin Heejin at Iyu Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. From the time I first decided on surgery until now, I want to write down the changes I felt during recovery month by month so that they can be useful for people preparing for surgery~ I was teased about my appearance since I was young, and I gradually became more introverted and started hating being in front of other people or taking photos. I wanted to change rather than keep living like that, so I decided to get double jaw surgery! When I was looking for a hospital, I searched a lot of double jaw and contouring reviews on YouTube and in online communities. Among them, I came across many reviews and opinions related to Iyu Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and after getting a consultation myself, I liked the consultation process, which led me to decide on surgery. At the 1-month mark, a little pus had built up in my cheek area, so I went to the hospital, received treatment, and observed the progress. After that, I was not in much pain, and swelling was not a major issue, and the bruising had almost disappeared. I focused on recovery by doing jaw exercises and eating mainly soft foods. From the 2-month mark, I could feel that the swelling had gone down much more than before. I kept practicing opening my mouth while eating soft foods like eggs and tofu, and from that point on, daily life was mostly possible. I also kept wearing the wafer at night without missing it while managing things! At 3 months, eating definitely became easier. I was still avoiding chewy or hard foods, but communication and facial expressions became much more natural, so I could feel that I was recovering. Especially around that time, family and acquaintances often told me I looked like a different person and had become more handsome At 4 months, the swelling in my face went down even more, and since I kept practicing eating and speaking, it became much more comfortable. The bruising was completely gone, and I could live normally, so the things that bothered me in daily life decreased a lot. At 5 months, I met friends often, and among friends I hadn't seen in a long time, there were some who didn't recognize me right away Since I was able to eat more comfortably than before, daily life was going well and it was really nice. And after passing the 6-month mark, there were many days when I just lived normally without worrying much about recovery~!! And now it has been 7 months! Everything from eating to talking has become natural. There is no discomfort when eating or speaking, so I'm just living as usual Like others, it wasn't easy for me at first to decide on double jaw + contouring surgery, but looking back as I recorded things one by one from the first month, it really feels like a battle against time The process of the swelling going down and eating and speaking becoming easier is clearly different from what it was in the first month, and now I hope all the prospective surgery patients can cheer up after seeing me living without discomfort in daily life!
