Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews

Day 1 after jaw surgery looked ruined, for real. Wait 7 days, it's amazing.

Hello, I’ve always been self-conscious about my long jaw since I was young, so I’d been thinking for a long time that I wanted to get double-jaw surgery. I kept putting it off because of the financial side, but I decided that I should do it before it got any later, and in the end I made up my mind to get double-jaw surgery.

When I was looking into hospitals, I read a lot of double-jaw surgery reviews in cosmetic surgery Naver cafes, and many people recommended Iyu Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, so I became interested. In the end, I got double-jaw + contouring surgery from Director Shin Hee-jin, and now I’m 4 months out.

To be honest, on days 1 to 2 after surgery, the swelling was severe and my face still felt unfamiliar, so I kept thinking to myself, did my double-jaw surgery fail? I got even more sensitive for no reason and worried a lot. But surprisingly, from around day 7, as I went on walks often, the swelling started going down little by little and I could see my face changing. From that point on, I thought I had worried for nothing, and I think one week in was when I started looking forward to what I’d look like once all the swelling was gone lol.

As time passed, I could see things improving little by little, and my mood improved along with it. Now, 4 months later, the discomfort I felt during recovery has almost disappeared, so I can go about my daily life comfortably.

Opening my mouth has improved a lot compared with the beginning, and eating is much easier than before. People around me also keep saying my face looks so much better than before, so I feel oddly proud. At first I was worried too, but after going through it myself, I really feel that things get easier and easier as time passes, so I’m satisfied. Going forward, I’ll keep watching as the remaining swelling goes down further and settles naturally~ So for anyone else like me, don’t worry from the start that it has failed. Time solves it.
