Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews

People around me are loving my look after double-jaw surgery and removing my braces! lol

Daily life has become so comfortable that I sometimes forget I even had double-jaw surgery, haha. It has been 10 months since Dr. Kim Jong-yoon at LEEYU Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery performed my double-jaw surgery, and after completing everything from surgery through orthodontic treatment, I am so satisfied that I do not feel the time I spent deliberating was wasted! I originally had severe malocclusion and often felt pain in my molars. As my jaw gradually looked longer while I grew, I also experienced a lot of appearance-related stress. It was not merely concern about my facial shape; the malocclusion also made daily life uncomfortable, so I eventually decided to undergo double-jaw surgery!! Since it is a major operation, I had no choice but to be careful when choosing a hospital! While looking for a hospital specializing in double-jaw surgery and known for good results, I first learned about LEEYU Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery through blogs and Naver Knowledge iN. I then searched for double-jaw surgery reviews and recovery processes in plastic-surgery communities such as Yeowoo-ya. After comparing various sources, I decided it was the most trustworthy place and chose Dr. Kim Jong-yoon, haha. At seven months after surgery, my orthodontic treatment, which had felt almost as long as the double-jaw surgery itself, was finally completely finished, lol. After removing my braces, my mouth shape looked noticeably more natural, and even when I smiled broadly in the mirror, it no longer felt awkward like before!! People around me also often said that it was barely noticeable that I had undergone double-jaw surgery and that my face looked natural, which made me happy, haha. I was satisfied that my facial shape had changed after surgery, but once orthodontic treatment was complete, the overall feeling was definitely different too! At eight months, about a month had passed since removing my braces, and I had completely adjusted to my changed face and teeth. The awkwardness and discomfort inside my mouth had almost disappeared, and what satisfied me most was that my bite aligned stably when eating. I used to suffer from molar pain because of malocclusion, but eating became much more comfortable. It was a long process from double-jaw surgery through orthodontics, but after completing each step, I felt equally proud, haha. At nine months, much of the subtle sensation remaining around my chin and lips had returned. Early after surgery, the area felt numb or occasionally prickly, and I wondered when it would improve, but as recovery progressed, those sensations gradually became natural too! Now I feel almost no foreignness when drinking water or eating, and when I touch my face, it feels comfortable, like my own skin. My expressions also seem much more natural as sensation returned, and this was when I truly felt that recovery had progressed a lot. And now, at 10 months! The swelling has almost subsided, and my sensation, bite, and facial shape all feel stably settled:) I have no particular discomfort in my jaw joints when opening my mouth wide or yawning, and there are hardly any parts of daily life that I worry about as I did before surgery. I used to be very stressed by malocclusion, molar pain, and a jaw that looked long, but the biggest change seems to be that those concerns have greatly decreased, haha. When I first decided on double-jaw surgery, the surgery itself was one thing, but considering orthodontics and recovery, it felt like an extremely long process. Now that 10 months have passed, time seems to have gone by faster than expected! Above all, I am highly satisfied that not only my appearance but also my bite has become comfortable. I want to continue maintaining things well just as they are, haha.
