Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews

Jaw Surgery Review That Got More Attention From People Around Me Than From Me

This is my 3-month review with Director Shin Hee-jin at Iyoo Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. I was teased a lot about my jaw since I was young, so I think I gradually became more introverted. I started avoiding standing in front of people or taking photos for no reason. Outwardly I acted like it didn’t bother me, but in fact, every time I looked in the mirror, my jaw was the first thing I saw, and the stress was quite heavy. I also wondered whether orthodontics alone would solve it, but after looking into it, I learned that in my case it was a problem with the bone itself, so the topic of double-jaw surgery kept coming up. After struggling with the decision for a long time, I decided to go ahead and do double-jaw surgery together with contouring surgery! I looked into several hospitals, but I kept seeing Iyoo Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in YouTube videos and cafe reviews. They had quite detailed posts of actual patient reviews and surgical process videos, so it felt more real, and after the consultation, they explained everything in an easy-to-understand way and the atmosphere was comfortable, so I decided to do it there. Since double-jaw surgery is such a major operation, I also naturally thought it would be best to do it at an oral and maxillofacial surgery clinic with a lot of experience! I’m now 3 months out from the double-jaw surgery, and life has definitely become much more comfortable! In the past, even eating felt somehow uncomfortable, but now it feels much more natural and meals themselves are easier. I’m still being careful with chewy or hard foods, but soft foods are mostly fine, so daily life is not very inconvenient at all! And the most surprising thing is how people around me react lol Every time family or acquaintances see me, they keep saying I look like a completely different person or that my face shape has been refined really well, and other positive comments like that. When I look at photos too, my jaw line is much more natural than before, so even though I’m a little embarrassed, I think I’ve been taking selfies more often for no reason. My expressions also feel like they’ve almost returned to normal, and speaking or smiling doesn’t feel awkward anymore! Since it’s only the 3-month mark, there is still a little swelling left, but maybe because of that, it feels like my face is still in the process of settling, so I’m even more excited about what’s ahead. In the past I spent a lot of time worrying about what people thought because of my jaw, but now that feeling has almost disappeared, and I think that is the biggest change. If there are people worried about double-jaw surgery and contouring surgery, I think it’s worth getting a proper consultation instead of worrying for too long like I did! Thumbs up
