How much swelling went down 2 months after double-jaw surgery: this is how my facial asymmetry changed

I had double-jaw surgery and contouring surgery 2 at Euui Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from Director Shin Hee-jin, and now it has been 2 months! Since middle school, my facial asymmetry gradually became more noticeable, and one side always looked awkward in photos, so that stressed me out for a long time. After going to a dental checkup and hearing that I had malocclusion and might need surgical orthodontic treatment, I realized I should stop just worrying and actually look into it properly. Double-jaw surgery itself is a major operation, so I was scared, but after visiting several places for consultations, Euui Oral Surgery felt a little different. They first took dental impressions, then Director Shin Hee-jin explained the materials, and it continued into an orthodontic consultation, so it felt like they were specifically talking through how to balance my bite and facial symmetry, and that made it feel more real to me! Also, hearing that there is CCTV including in the operating room and that guardians can view it reduced some of my vague anxiety! It has been 2 months now, and people around me are starting to say my face seems smaller haha. Before, I used to worry about the angle every time I took a photo, but these days I feel more at ease even if I just take it casually. I have already been on an overseas trip and returned to work, and my daily life is almost fully back to normal. Sometimes I even go a moment and forget I had surgery, because there is very little inconvenience in day-to-day life. I still have a slightly numb feeling in my lower lip, but it is not enough to interfere with daily life, and I think it is gradually improving over time. I can eat most foods as long as they are not too tough, and I can eat Korean food almost without any burden ~! My jawline and the area under my nose are still a little swollen, but compared with the one-month mark, it has gone down a lot, and even though the swelling has not completely disappeared, my face definitely feels more refined. I had long worried about facial asymmetry and malocclusion, but now I feel much more comfortable both functionally and mentally than before, and I even wonder why I put it off for so long. There is still a recovery process ahead, but so far I am fully satisfied with my decision :)
