Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews

Open-jaw + contouring, something I had only been thinking about: sharing the honest changes I felt after 3 months

Because I had severe malocclusion, I lived with frequent molar pain, and the increasingly prominent jaw was also causing me a lot of stress aesthetically, so after much deliberation I ended up getting double-jaw surgery and contouring surgery from Dr. Kim Jong-yun at Iyoo Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery! At first I mainly wanted to solve only the functional problem, but after the consultation, they planned everything while considering both the bite and facial balance, and I became convinced that I could improve both function and appearance together. While looking through reviews on blogs, Naver Knowledge iN, and various plastic-surgery communities and cafes, I felt reassured by the fact that this was a place that specializes in double-jaw surgery, and that is why I chose it! For the 3-month follow-up, I came in for a CT and X-ray, and after checking my recovery status with Dr. Kim Jong-yun, I was relieved to hear that the bone position and bite had settled well in line with the surgical plan and that recovery was progressing stably, so I could now return to daily life as before surgery! Most of the major swelling has gone down, so my face shape feels naturally refined, and above all I’m very satisfied that the molar pain caused by my malocclusion is gone. Until now I had been careful and mostly eating soft foods just in case, but now I can eat meat comfortably, so it feels like I’m back to everyday life. Since I spent so long thinking about double-jaw surgery, I even wonder now why I didn’t decide sooner lol. There is still a little residual swelling, so I’m looking forward to it settling even more naturally, and these days I’m really feeling the benefits of double-jaw surgery in that both the functional stability and the appearance-related stress have been reduced!!! lol
