Nasal removal, day 1 (long post)

I have had nose surgery twice, and this removal is my third operation. I removed Medpor, silicone, ear cartilage, septal cartilage, and artificial dermis through a closed approach. It has been more than 10 years since my second surgery. I was living well, but a few years ago I started feeling anxious about the Medpor, so I went to the hospital for a consultation. But the thought of having surgery again was so scary, and I had no particular symptoms, so I kept putting it off. Recently, the anxiety got worse, so I started going to consultations in earnest. I went to all the famous places I could think of, and decided on the one that felt best. If I have time, I will post my consultation reviews too. <From after booking to the morning of surgery> I kept thinking, did I choose the right hospital?? Should I switch to another one now? Is it really right to do it here because that was my gut feeling? Should I just ask for an open approach? Or should I do a closed approach? I spent the night in anxiety, reading reviews of the hospital I booked and the one I kept wavering over until the very end T_T <Consultation with the director right before surgery> I just told him everything I was worried about, and he explained everything carefully. I wondered how much of a complainer I must have looked like... But even while listening, my anxiety melted away, and I was able to go into surgery feeling really at ease. (For reference, I think a lot of people believe that if Medpor is used, it must be removed through an open approach, but that was not the case. As far as I remember, there were cases on blogs such as GY S and SS Y where Medpor was removed through a closed approach too? Anyway, I was fine with an open approach as well, but the doctor explained clearly why my case could be done with a closed approach. That reassured me, and we went into surgery with the plan that if, during a closed approach, things were found to be different from what was known or if a problem came up, we would switch to an open approach.) <In the operating room> After waking up from sedation, I realized the surgery was already underway. Right away, the director said, "You are awake? We have removed the Medpor cleanly and completely now~ I will remove the silicone next~" and I was so, so happy that I said thank you over and over... Maybe because it was a closed approach, it did not hurt at all, and I could feel the whole process, which I really liked. And they kept explaining what they were doing now, asking whether it hurt, and trying to reassure me even during the operation. I asked them to loosen my pinched nose as much as possible, and at the end, before the swelling set in, they showed me the nose shape, which I was very satisfied with. Please let it heal exactly like that!! I do not remember exactly, but from entering the operating room to leaving, it was about an hour and a half? <After surgery> If you are in the recovery room, the manager comes in and shows you the photos and video taken during surgery. Even though it was a closed approach, I could see the photos in detail. I also watched the removal process of mine in detail on video. They even took photos to show that the cartilage was not damaged. But even looking at the photos, I honestly do not know whether something was damaged or not, but it still made me feel reassured and good. If you want to speak with the director, they told me to wait a bit, so I waited a little and then had the consultation. He opened a reference book and showed me drawings, explaining how the surgery was done and what condition my nose had been in before. He also answered all the questions on the list I had written down, which made me feel extremely reassured. On the way home, I kept humming to myself and grinning the whole way back. First of all, since it was Medpor removal but done through a closed approach, I do not have to worry about a columella scar, which is great. I also watched the removal process on video, so I do not feel anxious, and they said the cartilage was not damaged. There was no additional reinforcement and it ended with full removal only!!! I am so, so satisfied T_T!! I really, really want to thank the director T_T I keep thinking I was right to choose this hospital tens of thousands of times. But I am still worried whether I will recover well. Whether I will get through the contraction period well. Whether the shape will turn out well. Worry never ends... From now on, there will be no more cosmetic surgery in my life. **I was so satisfied that this post may have turned into too much of a praise post...
