Nose Re-Surgery

Lowell autologous costal cartilage revision rhinoplasty + custom implant is definitely different!

It has been three months since my revision rhinoplasty using autologous costal cartilage plus a 3D custom silicone implant. Time really flies. I should have researched more thoroughly before my first rhinoplasty, but I had it done without even knowing what materials were used and regretted it a lot. For revision rhinoplasty, I was determined to have it done in Gangnam, and that is how I found Lowell Plastic Surgery. Nervous, I traveled to Seoul the day before surgery and stayed awake all night. I had surgery in the first morning slot the next day, and already three months have passed. At first, it felt as if time would never pass and the bruising would never fade, haha, but perhaps because I consistently used compresses and rested well, both the swelling and bruising seem to have subsided quickly. For the bridge, I used a 3D custom silicone implant at about my previous height. For the tip, I wanted autologous costal cartilage to make my round, small nasal tip somewhat larger and more refined, but above all, the premise was “natural.” I am somewhat older, so I thought it would be embarrassing to go about daily life if it looked too obvious, haha. Since I considered it my final surgery, I did not get greedy and stated what I wanted within reasonable limits, but I think the doctor made it even prettier than I imagined. My overall image has become more refined, and I think I have become much prettier thanks to a beautiful nasolabial angle in profile, haha. I hardly used to take profile selfies, but these days I take many. As it gradually settles, it has definitely become much more natural than during the very swollen first month. Once the bridge swelling went down, it felt higher, and the tip swelling and sensation are gradually returning. Every time I look in the mirror or apply makeup, I think I did such a good thing, T_T. I clearly presented the nose shape I wanted to Dr. Kim Dae-hwa. The doctor smartly reflected my opinions while adding their aesthetic sense, so I feel it could not help but turn out beautifully and satisfyingly. The doctor is that skilled, but I was extremely anxious at first. What if it goes wrong? I was afraid of complications too, T_T. But I heard the doctor had operated on Lalal, and after reading reviews I felt reassured and came to trust them completely, haha. I liked the reviews, and the surgery cost was also reasonable compared with other clinics, so the burden was lower. Anyway, I think choosing to have my revision surgery here was a very good choice.
