I was worried about protruding mouth, so I looked into surgery for that. The director told me that my desired look would be hard to improve with protruding-mouth surgery alone, and that if I wanted to go in the direction I wanted, I would need double-jaw surgery plus square jaw line and chin surgery. I worried a lot, but since I was already doing it, I went ahead with the full three-procedure package including cheekbones. I visited a few hospitals, but both the director and the coordinator at [Clinic A] were so good at the consultation that I ended up choosing [Clinic A]. After surgery and discharge, the swelling was significant, so even sitting or lying down was very uncomfortable. After a week, the swelling gradually went down and I could even use a spoon, and it improved little by little each day after sleeping. The change I am most satisfied with after surgery is that my protruding mouth, which was my complex, has moved in, and when I look from the side, the line connecting the nose to the mouth is smooth. I am also satisfied that my face looks smaller. It is not a surgery I would unconditionally recommend to anyone, but for people like me with severe protruding mouth or malocclusion, it may be worth serious consideration.
