12-Month Review of Double Jaw Surgery + Square Jaw + Chin: Jaw Pain Gone and Even a Better Face Line

It has already been 12 months since I had double jaw surgery + square jaw + chin surgery, so I am leaving a review. I had very severe asymmetry. From my nose to my teeth and jaw, everything was tilted to the left, to the point that the two sides of my face were different sizes, and I also had pain from temporomandibular muscle disorder caused by my malocclusion. I had surgery with IVRO because I had jaw problems, so please note that recovery can be a little harder than in typical cases. By around three months, recovery becomes natural enough that it does not show in daily life, and it is definitely fully natural after six months. Nerves come back slowly, but I am now at 12 months and have recovered almost completely. I am truly satisfied with the result. I only had double jaw surgery, but I keep hearing that something must have been done to the midface too, or that I must have lost weight 😊 Above all, the biggest gain was that the jaw-disorder pain went away! Honestly, I was also someone who was scared of double jaw surgery, tried to stop with orthodontics first, and then got worse, which is how I ended up having double jaw surgery in the end. I completely understand the feeling of wanting to finish with orthodontics alone. But once you get past one hurdle, even though it is a big one, your quality of life really changes. If you are only thinking about orthodontics, since you will be going to a dental clinic anyway, at least go for a consultation at Yangyundol Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery once.
