Before I knew it, it had been 1 year since I had double-jaw surgery. Before surgery, I looked at review photos and worried a lot, thinking, it swells that much? But once I actually had double-jaw surgery, time really flew by! In the beginning, each day was tough because of swelling, headaches, breathing discomfort, and even difficulty pronouncing words because of the elastics, but now I realize that all of those processes were steps toward recovery. Even the difficult period becomes familiar as time passes, and at some point I could feel things getting better hehe. I decided on the surgery for functional reasons, but the aesthetic change was also big, so the reactions around me have been good, and I’m really satisfied with it myself too! In the past, I was self-conscious about my side profile, but now I live comfortably without those worries. Of course it took a lot of both money and effort, but even if I turned back time, I would choose this surgery again. For those who are considering it, I recommend thinking carefully about whether it is a surgery you truly need before deciding!
