There was still swelling remaining in the midface and jawline, but overall my face became smaller and my features looked much more refined, so I gained confidence. I improved enough to take photos without a mask even while traveling, and I’m eating soft foods without difficulty. There is still a little numbness around my mouth, but there is no sensory damage and recovery is going smoothly haha. The double-jaw surgery still shows slightly, so I’m careful about telling anyone other than close family or my boyfriend, but people around me say it looks natural, which gives me strength haha. Overall I’m satisfied and waiting for more swelling to go down! By 3 months after surgery, the swelling gradually went down! 4~6 months At 3~4 months, there wasn’t a huge change in swelling, but when looking at selfies, I could feel my facial contour gradually becoming more defined, and I adapted well to postoperative orthodontic treatment, so I’m eating most foods without difficulty. From month 5, I recovered enough to chew nuts, and as cheek swelling went down, my face became slimmer, so I’m also highly satisfied cosmetically. My jawline looked a little prominent, so I considered shaving, but they said it could be done together during pin removal, which reassured me haha. At month 6, most of the swelling had gone down, and I’m confidently meeting friends and going to work without a mask.
