Even though I had a long face, I lived without really caring about it, but at some point, when I smiled, my philtrum started to look long and a lot of my gums started showing. I thought that a long face can just be how some people are, but when a lot of gum shows while smiling, I started thinking it didn’t look aesthetically good, and gradually I began smiling timidly or not smiling at all, or I would always cover my mouth with my hand. While looking for a solution, I heard that a gummy smile can show because of a long face shape, so I decided on double-jaw surgery + facial contouring!! The reason I chose EU Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery was that I searched hard online and on YouTube, and this was the only hospital that had posted separately on YouTube and its blog about the parts I was personally curious about, so I thought it was trustworthy. After looking at EU real reviews and so on, I trusted it even more and decided on double-jaw surgery right away haha. 1 month: Recovery is going well except for ear swelling, facial swelling has also decreased, and I was surprised because the change in appearance was clearly noticeable. I’m a smoker, so I have stress while quitting smoking, but my family and friends’ reactions have been very positive, so my satisfaction with double-jaw surgery is high. 2 months: The swelling has definitely gone down a lot compared with a month ago. Especially around the cheeks, when I touch them with my hand, the hard feeling has decreased, and even when I press lightly, I can feel it sink in softly. When I look in the mirror, my facial line is becoming more and more defined, so I’m feeling the effect of double-jaw surgery even more. It’s really fascinating to see the contour becoming naturally refined. The reactions around me are also really good, so I feel proud. Friends saw me after a long time and often said, “It doesn’t look obvious at all, and it turned out really naturally,” haha. They also said my impression is much softer than before haha. Honestly, I was worried it would be obvious that I had double-jaw surgery, but now I almost don’t have that worry. Sensation hasn’t fully returned yet, but I can feel the recovery speed, so I think it’s okay. Discomfort when speaking or eating has also decreased a lot, and the awkwardness when smiling is lessening as time goes on. It will take a little more time to recover completely, but I’m sufficiently satisfied with the progress so far. I’m even more excited because I think that after another month or two, it will become more natural and almost all the swelling will be gone. 3 months: I understand why other people’s reviews say that after double-jaw surgery, you forget you had surgery lol. I think it’s because there’s no discomfort in daily life. From month 3, I heard exercise after double-jaw surgery is possible more smoothly, so I’m thinking of trying futsal around next week haha. I was originally a smoker, but thanks(?) to the surgery, I don’t even think about cigarettes anymore, and I ended up quitting smoking, so I’m satisfied because I gained another benefit too. My nose looks swollen, but actually I tried drinking alcohol for the first time. Seeing it swell again made me think I should ban alcohol again for a while..!
