I’m a Korean-American living in the U.S., and double jaw surgery was recommended to me in the U.S., so I came to Korea and had surgery at Max. I found Max by searching around online. I’ll tell you what I wrote about how I felt after the surgery. Day 4 after surgery The swelling is severe, so my lips and even the roof of my mouth hurt. At night, my nose was blocked, so I kept waking up, and saliva kept pooling, which was uncomfortable, but I held up well while taking my medication. Day 5 after surgery I really want to eat food, and I’m hungry even after having liquid food. Breathing is a little difficult, but I can breathe okay. Day 6 after surgery Once it reached a week, I could feel the swelling going down. Since the day of surgery, I’ve been drooling less, and I can eat liquid food better, so it’s more comfortable. .. . . And now, one month after surgery, the swelling has gone down a lot. My mom also said it has improved, so I feel relieved, and I’m satisfied both functionally and aesthetically. I’m looking forward to how my face will change even more from now on! When I came to Korea, the director at Max was kind and made me feel comfortable. The hospital’s program also felt like that of a large hospital, and I’m happy because the director did it the way I wanted. I received the photos from the hospital and made this at home so I could compare them.
