<Before!! Taken at the clinic ㅜ.ㅜ>Ever since my teens, I was so stressed because of malocclusion, and I tried everything from clear aligners to metal braces...
My fundamental problem was “my facial bones are small, so there’s no room for my teeth to come in -> my teeth were crooked front-to-back, or some teeth even came in diagonally” At the time, I also wanted a job where appearance mattered, and because of unclear pronunciation from not being able to open my mouth much and lowered confidence, I even forgot how to use my voice for a while. It was such huge stress that I went around looking into laminates here and there like I was fixing it with cosmetic surgery, and a few places rejected me (even a place famous for Zerinate suggested I get orthodontic treatment first and then consider laminates ㅠㅠ)
My teeth were extremely small, and if things went wrong the nerves could be exposed, too much tooth would have to be shaved down, and even with orthodontics I would have to extract several healthy teeth (molars). Because of these various risks, all the doctors refused or suggested orthodontics first, but I was in a situation where I couldn’t delay any longer and felt overwhelmed
So I just went to a place where laminates were possible, had a lot shaved down, and now my teeth are a bit bigger than they originally were (ㅠㅠ), but I’m maintaining a white and pretty shape. Front-tooth flirting is possible!!!
One risk is that I can no longer pull the tooth roots with orthodontic treatment or anything like that... ㅠㅠ My teeth haven’t hurt separately, and when I had temporary teeth on my front teeth, they fell out while I was eating a bagel, so I had to walk around looking exposed for a bit, but that was during the temporary teeth stage... haha
Even if I went back and had to choose again, I’d choose laminates again!!! The cost was pretty high, but I like my lower face, I’ve heard a lot that my confidence when speaking and my overall image have become much softer, and I often hear that my teeth are pretty haha
Ah, there would be risks with two-jaw surgery too... but I haven’t had a consultation for that ㅜㅜ
