Reason for choosing: Two years ago, because of a silicone foreign-body sensation, pulling, and swelling in my nose, I visited ㄱㅇㅅ At the time, they said it was the characteristic foreign-body sensation of an L-shaped implant, and since there was no inflammatory reaction at present, there was no need to remove it unnecessarily, and sent me home Two days after I went back, the symptoms such as the foreign-body sensation actually disappeared, and seeing that they did not push surgery made me trust them
All the clinics I consulted recommended septal extension surgery after removing the L-shaped silicone, saying the nasal tip that had been supported by the L-shape would become empty, and contractile upturning of the nose would occur (personally, I dislike septal extension surgery) But only ㄱㅇㅅ said there would be no upturning of the nose after contraction, and did not recommend other major revision surgeries On the day of surgery, I had a second consultation (when making the appointment, I said I could cancel if we could not coordinate opinions) I got them to promise once again whether they were really confident my nose would not turn up with contraction, and whether they would take measures during surgery so it would not turn up I also heard an explanation of post-surgery treatment to prevent contracture Then I went into surgery

Thinking back now, every symptom I had from right after surgery until just before removal was a side effect Things like chronic headaches, foreign-body sensation, pulling at the nasal tip, and enlarged pores at the nasal tip Then my nasal tip became red, with heat sensation and signs of inflammation, and after confirming that contracture was progressing mildly, I decided to remove it
※ Surgical progress
It is day 1 after removal, so it is still too early to say what is what When I see people with severe contracture, they say they continuously feel like the area where the stitches are sewn is lifting So far, maybe because the contracture is mild, it only lifts slightly once in a while On the day of surgery, I was so fine and not in pain that I felt refreshed, but after a day, my face swelled up a lot and the stitches hurt Still, I am relieved there is not much bruising, only reddish bruising around the eyes

They smile well and are kind, but they have their own stubbornness A style that makes it hard to ask questions, but that does not mean they do not answer I am the type who, if I am not convinced and do not understand, asks two or three times and keeps asking until I understand, so the first consultation alone took over 30 minutes (The second consultation was 15 minutes?)
I got answers during the first consultation about my questions on contraction after silicone removal, but I was not convinced, so during the second consultation I asked mainly about this When I asked again why their stance differed from other clinics regarding skin contraction caused by the empty space after removing the L-shaped silicone, they said that because my original nasal tip cartilage has a tendency to return to its original position, rather than lifting, it would actually come down more than now They said they had received these kinds of questions so many times that they even ended up writing a paper, and opened the paper on the computer screen (They did not show the exact contents, just opened the PDF and skimmed through it) Also, because they conduct the surgery while taking contraction and contracture after opening into consideration, they told me not to worry too much When they said that if they really thought it would go up, would they not have recommended a major revision surgery, I decided to trust them Of course, during this process of explaining, there were a few moments of patience such as, “I drew and explained this several times earlier too… (sigh)”
Looking at the handwritten review photos, the noses here are not a flashy straight-to-slightly-upturned style They are the embodiment of ordinary and plain, and simply look like your own nose For contracted noses, it is just to the point of lowering what has gone up Not pretty, just simply a nose After looking at the reviews, I feel like I understand why this place is mentioned a lot but does not have many surgery reviews Maybe because they are neither extremely good nor extremely bad Everyone has different beauty standards, so I cannot really say...
※ Things I found questionable
Although mine is a mildly contracted nose, to remove all of the capsule, it would need to be opened, but they recommended closed surgery When I asked the consultant, they said, “Our director can do it”... hmm? And if you do open surgery, they charge more... 500,000 KRW... I was too tired to ask why, so I did not ask During the first consultation, the consultant said they might wake me up during sedation anesthesia They said they wake you if the first surgery chart and the condition of the nose are very different, or if a situation arises that requires the patient’s confirmation... First of all, I questioned whether I could give a proper answer in that groggy state, and I thought those things should all be decided before going in, so during the final consultation I raised my voice lolololololol
※ What I felt after consultations and surgery
I once again felt how much I need to be particular, meticulous, and ask every detail If they create an atmosphere where it is hard to ask questions, I think you should ask even more, and if they speak vaguely, you should even press them to say it clearly I want to recommend learning as much as possible about surgical methods, and if there are publicly available papers, reading them once before going for a consultation
