It’s been over 2 weeks since removal. I hope this helps even one person a little.
Original nose: long nose, hump nose, deviated nose First surgery details: deviated septum surgery, septal cartilage, ear cartilage, mesh Removal surgery: complete removal, cartilage repositioning
A droopy tip was my complex, so I raised the nasal tip with an extension strut and columellar strut, but wow, it really didn’t suit me, breathing was uncomfortable, and I even developed postnasal drip symptoms I’d never had once in my life.. After struggling like that, I finally had it removed after 2 months.
After removal, I’m very satisfied with both function and appearance. As for breathing, it became noticeably easier to breathe as soon as it was removed. There wasn’t much bleeding, so there was no cotton packing.
I think the softness and being able to make a pig nose will gradually get better with time. Of course, it’s a world of difference from the stiffness before removal. As for the shape, it’s between my original nose and the surgical nose, so it actually became moderately shorter and more defined, which I like. Those who originally have a long nose, please just take this as a reference.. Both the first surgery and removal surgery were done with an open approach, but fortunately there is almost no columellar scar. My social avoidance is gone too, and I feel like I can live now~. .That was my short review.
