Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redo

I finally had the removal done!!

First of all, to everyone who posted here.. Thank you so much. From deciding on removal, to touring clinics, deciding on a clinic.. and waiting, I had really fearful and difficult days right up until this morning. Many of you encouraged me a lot and thought through things with me, so I’m leaving this post hoping it can be even a small help.

1. In 2009, I had closed surgery with silicone and ear cartilage 2. Decided on removal because the nasal tip was showing through 3. Consultations at 5 clinics; all suggested revision surgery for reasons such as contracture and depression 4. 2014.12 Revision surgery, open approach, with 2.5 mm silicone and ear cartilage at a clinic in Gangnam 5. 2018.7 Confirmed cartilage showing through at the nasal tip 6. After deciding on removal, consulted at ㄱㅇ*.ㅍㄹ*.ㅅㅅ* 7. Decided on a clinic 8. Had closed surgery this morning

I’m home now, and my nose is still bleeding slightly from time to time. I can’t tell the shape yet. It was done under sleep anesthesia, so there wasn’t any pain or anything. I came home, ate lunch well, and took my medicine.

I still don’t know how the shape will turn out, but during the final consultation with the doctor, the doctor said there was no contracture or depression, so I should trust what they said and stay at ease.

And someone here had written about it, but there really is an angel in the operating room. While preparing for surgery, they talked to me so kindly, comforted me, and told me not to worry. I was extremely nervous, so I was really grateful.

Anyway, the surgery is over, and since my skin is very prone to swelling and bruising, bluish bruising has started to appear around my eyes.

From now on, after the splint is removed and if the shape changes, I’ll leave another post.
