Hello, I've only been lurking, but I'm leaving this post in case it might help anyone
I had an L-shaped silicone implant + ear cartilage for 17 years
L-shaped silicone removal + ear cartilage removal + capsule removal + cartilage repositioning
This is what I had done. In other words, everything was removed
Starting the day after surgery, I became extremely swollen. Every time I looked in the mirror, I felt despair..
It seems it took about a week for the swelling to go down somewhat and for me to see some of my old self again
Recovery speed differs from person to person, so please keep that in mind
Honestly, that one week was very hard. Every time I looked in the mirror, I was so taken aback by how unfamiliar I looked, and all kinds of worries came flooding in
Today marks the 15th day. Now I've gotten somewhat used to how I look. Of course, the nasal bridge has become lower. My old nose was so long ago that I don't remember
it. Still, I don't think there is a huge difference from before. I don't plan to get filler or any other procedures later either
What I want to say is, to anyone considering removal for any reason, first of all, please plan your time with plenty of room
And I hope you don't despair over the changed appearance right after surgery. After at least about 1 week, it should get better
I hope everyone who has plans for this has good results
