I had it removed this morning at ㄱㅇㅅ in Hongdae. My rhinoplasty was 7 years ago with L-shaped silicone, ear cartilage, and a closed approach. 3-4 mm? It’s been so long I don’t remember wellㅠㅠ Actually, I thought I had straight silicone, but they said the removed silicone was L-shaped silicone.. I really felt betrayed and got so angry. The detailed nasal removal surgery I had was L-shaped silicone removal, ear cartilage removal, capsule removal, cartilage repositioning, closed approach on both sides, and sleep anesthesia. + Because it was L-shaped silicone, they charged an additional feeㅠㅠ...
The reason I removed it was that after 5 years, the bridge of my nose swelled very slightly, so I went to a nearby plastic surgery clinic, took antibiotics, and it was fine. But after that, whenever my condition was poor, I felt like my nose was lifting? and tightening, and the ear cartilage started to show through, so after wavering for 2 years, I ended up removing it. So I removed it in the 7th year..
As for the surgery process, as soon as I arrived they told me to get the medicine prepared in advance, so I got 7 days’ worth of medication. Then I paid the remaining surgery fee, changed into surgical clothes in the recovery room, and had my nose hairs removed. My nasal blood vessels? are weak, so if my nose gets poked I get nosebleeds even normally, so I asked the nurse to be gentle. She tried to be as gentle as possible and was considerate, so I was grateful. But a little blood came out.. It wasn’t flowing though lol. After removing the nose hairs, I washed my face, stopped by the restroom, then waited in the recovery room for the director’s consultation. For the final time, he told me how the surgery would be done and not to worry. But honestly I’m still not used to the director’s way of speaking, so I get intimidated.. I think he has a uniquely chic manner. Then they took photos from the front, side, and oblique angles, and I went to the operating room. I lay down, got an IV, had my blood pressure measured, my hands tied, and they put that thing on my finger.. what is it, to check heart rate? and condition.. (sorry for my ignorance). They covered me with a green cloth with only my face sticking out, applied disinfectant to my face and inside my nose, and busily prepared. The nurse said they had put in the anesthetic, but I suddenly felt wide awake and was thinking, what do I do... what do I do.. Then the surgery was over lolololol I went to the recovery room, finished the IV, and they put an ice pack over my eyes. After about 30 minutes? the director came, showed me the removed implant, and coolly left. Seeing it with my own eyes felt so relieving!!! Then I heard the precautions, and they said bleeding could occur for about 1-2 days. Before I left the clinic, I bled, so they blocked it with cottonㅠㅠ When I got home and removed it, it had stopped. There are still times when a little blood comes out! So I quickly bought absorbent cotton and came home lol certified scaredy-cat lol. I don’t know the shape because of the splint, and since I originally had almost no bridge, I’m worried, but after removing the time bomb, my mind feels comfortable and good!!! I hope it settles beautifully!
The reason I wrote this in such detail is because I know so well how painful it feels to suffer because of your nose, so I tried to write as much detail as possible. I also got a lot of help from this community, so I’m posting because I really want to help too!!!
Lastly, I’m really, really scaredㅠㅠ I freak out even at the sight of blood, and even the day before removal I kept debating, and when I thought about surgery I felt like I’d faint, my hands and feet were sweating like I had hyperhidrosis lolololol. Even the king of scaredy-cats got it done, so those of you who scare easily, don’t worry!!!
