Nose surgery I had 10 years ago without thinking much.. It was done with Gore-Tex and ear cartilage~~ At first it was as high as a chalk-like nose, but maybe because it was Gore-Tex, after a few years it gradually lowered little by little, so visually I think it was fairly okay. But starting about two months ago, I should call it tenderness? When I lay down or wore glasses, the nasal bridge felt heavy. So while looking into it, I had consultations at the place where I first had surgery and two places mentioned here, and today I had everything removed~~ Until this morning. No, until right before surgery, I kept wondering whether I had made the right decision, whether removing a nose that didn’t look strange would make it upturned, whether I’d be okay socially, and whether I should just go home even now. Until right before lying on the operating table, I think I kept debating whether to remove everything or only remove the nasal bridge implant. When I asked the doctor what about refining the nasal tip, they said that wouldn’t have meaning.. since the cartilage wasn’t showing through or anything, and told me to either leave it, or remove it if I felt anxious. My original nose had no nasal bridge at all, the alar base was spread out, and really.. it was an unattractive noseㅠㅠ Still, I’m married and have a child.. If the cartilage ever shows through or causes a problem later, I thought it would be hard to do it again, so I asked for complete removal! I changed clothes and went into the operating room, the nurse tied my hair and inserted the IV needle, and the doctor said, the medication will go in now, sleep if you feel sleepy~ but when I opened my eyes, it was over. It had ended 30 minutes earlier, but I guess I slept more. It felt like I had slept so well. After resting a bit, I saw the doctor, and they showed me what had been removed and also showed me photos from during the surgery. They showed me the Gore-Tex, ear cartilage, and scar tissue removal, and something had been protruding inside the nose; they said the alar cartilage had been severed on both sides, and that they took care of that well too~~ They told me the nasal tip would not lift, so I was grateful. Also, they said there were a lot of adhesions around the glabella area, so it would swell a lot. They showed me a mirror, and there was a lot of bruising between the eyebrows. The swelling also felt soft and squishy when touched, so they told me to come back tomorrow to have blood drainedㅠㅠ Now that I’m home, the swelling and bruising are really tremendous haha Even my eyes are all swollen.. but I just feel relieved that I removed it! Oh, I had it removed through a closed approach, and both sides were incised! For over a month, I visited this community several times a day and received a lot of help, so I’m leaving my own post too. If you have any questions, leave a comment and I’ll let you know^^
