<Original nose><1 month after removal (peak contraction period)><Current side profile at 2 months>I've been consistently posting updates after removal until now, and the days when I cried and felt like time wasn't passing have somehow turned into two months in the blink of an eye.... Honestly, it's so absurd, really
I had early removal 2 weeks after surgery because of a foreign-body sensation and dissatisfaction with the shape, and I had it removed for free at the clinic where I had the surgery. They said they did it through a closed approach, by untying the cartilage-suturing threads inside the nose and taking out the septal cartilage.
Because I had early removal just 2 weeks after the first surgery, I think the contraction period came earlier than for others. It started around week 3, and as you can see from the 1-month photo, it looked like a contracted nose... Even though I had it removed with absolutely no inflammation, it lifted so unbelievably much that even the clinic said it was a case where it lifted severely. My nose felt so tight and lifted that I couldn't even roll my lips inward, but now it has all come down as if that was a lie.
Massage really helped a lot! I massaged by sweeping firmly down from the bridge to the nasal tip with my thumb and index finger, kneading and loosening the hard parts of the nasal alae with my thumb and index finger, and massaging as if pulling the nasal tip downward to make it longer.
Currently, my nose has become exactly halfway between my original nose and my surgical nose. It's still only 2 months, and it isn't completely soft when I touch it, so I'll have to wait and see how it changes from here, but even someone whose nose lifted as severely as mine can have it all come down.... Please don't worry too much, and I hope those of you who are very worried after surgery can hang in there. Now I can do lip-pursing movements well, I can twist my nose left and right, and I can squeeze sebum from my nose and pick my nose with my finger, all of it is possible
