Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redo

Review after removing silicone, Medpor, ear cartilage, and AlloDerm

After<And what I like most is my nose when seen from below. In the first photo above, that was my nose after surgery, and first of all, the nostrils were uneven, the columella was crooked, and you can see the part sticking out on the side of my nose, right? I thought that was protruding scar tissue, but the director told me it was cartilage sticking out. He said that the alar cartilage that was cut during the first surgery was protruding to the side of the nose, so he said that properly correcting the cartilage that had been compressed and tangled during the first surgery is what cartilage repositioning means. He said he would reshape the cartilage as properly as possible, but when I asked whether the protrusion on the side of my nose would improve, he said he could not give me a definite answer about that. He said he only gives definite answers about things he is certain of... If anything, because the director was this firm type, I trusted him a little more. But thankfully, the cartilage on the side was also cleaned up like that and the nostrils became the same, so I was really happy ㅠ The surgery time was originally expected to be one hour, but he said the cartilage inside my nose was more tangled than expected, so it took about 1 hour and 30 minutes. >After<This is the silicone and Medpor that had been in my nose for the past five years :) They separately showed me the other capsule tissue, ear cartilage, and things they removed, and it looked so gross..ㅠㅠ I’m so happy that there are no foreign materials in my nose anymore. Even when sleeping, I always felt like my nose was pulling to one side and felt heavy, but my nose feels so light now ㅠ The five years when I suffered mentally because of side effects that might come at any time are really flashing past me now ㅠㅠ I hope my review can be even a little helpful to those who are still struggling emotionally because of their nose, and that you think carefully and make a good choice!>~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hello, I received a lot of help from a community and had complete removal last Tuesday. Five years ago, I had rhinoplasty with 4 mm silicone, Medpor, ear cartilage, and AlloDerm. I had consultations at two famous places and decided on this place, so I had the removal done~

It wasn’t originally an inflamed nose, but as time passed, the nasal tip cartilage gradually started showing through and the silicone was slightly crooked, so the left and right sides had different shapes. And my nasal tip gradually became pointed, like a witch nose, and because I was worried about future side effects and my skin thinning, I thought I should remove it in advance.

The surgical method was open approach, and I decided to have complete removal and cartilage repositioning. Medpor has severe adhesion, so I was very worried about columellar depression or curling. So the director said he would mince the ear cartilage inside and put it into the columella side. I was also worried about contracture or an upturned nose, but from the director’s view, my nose was long and my natural nose was like this, so he said I didn’t need to worry about it becoming upturned.
