Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redo

2 months after early full removal

It’s already been two months. Whenever there was even a slight change in my nose, I kept taking notes, so I’ll write down just a few of the major changes! (Early removal at the same hospital where I had silicone and an ear-cartilage support strut? placed)

>Day 36 - Started taking Rizaben I was anxious, so I got a prescription for Rizaben and started taking it. After taking it, my nose definitely got a bit softer. Of course, the effect didn’t keep lasting.

On this day, I requested and received before-and-after photos from the hospital, and ㅠㅠ it was shockingㅠㅠ My nostrils had changed so much. Looking only at the nose, it seemed similar, but the flesh at the nasal tip was gone and it had become shorter.. I wondered if this was something that could improve.. and I think I was really depressed. When I looked up the symptoms, it seemed like “medial alar retraction”ㅠㅠ

>From the evening of Day 43, I’m not sure if my nose was swollen or if scar tissue was starting to fill in, but my nose started spreading out in a puffy way. Should I say it felt like the space inside my nose had widened? Until then, compared to my original nose, it felt slightly pinched and a bit smaller, but my old appearance showed a little more.

>From Day 46, it felt like the morning contraction got a bit worse, and the columella was also slightly swollen.

>Day 50 When I touched my nose, it felt like the area of the hard parts had become a little wider..!

Overall, the outside is soft, but I can feel that the inside is hard.

>Day 60 (today) When I woke up in the morning, the feeling of contraction had definitely decreased, but my nose looked swollen, and it felt like the scar tissue was gradually filling in. My nose used to press down smoothly and easily, but these days it presses down a little less!

*Summary* Mentally, I’ve gotten a lot better. I still feel depressed sometimes, but the time I spend in front of the mirror has definitely decreased. I once saw a comment saying the nose looks the worst at 1 to 2 months, and I’m hoping that’s really true..! I hope my nasal tip comes down nicely to a suitable degree, enough that it comes down slightly when I press the philtrum..!

In the morning, ㅠㅠ it’s shocking, but from evening to dawn it looks relatively okay, so at those times I feel much more at ease. I think I’ve gotten a little used to the slightly changed appearance ..:)

I thought it would get better after two months, but now that it’s actually been two months, I feel like there is still a loooong way to go before it improves. At least.. I think I need to watch the contraction period for 4 or 5 months, and for scar tissue I’m planning to watch it for 6 months to 1 year.

If there’s anyone who wants their nose to spread out more than it is now, I think there’s a possibility that it can come back! In my experience, the broad, puffy look noticeably came back! (On Day 43!) Of course, with that plus my nostrils being more visible, I do look like a pig every morning..:)

Hoping it improves even a little more, I’ll come back again at the 3-month mark!

Everyone, hang in there!
