12 years ago, I had open surgery using Gore-Sili/septal cartilage. My skin became thin, so the implant showed through. I developed side effects: discoloration of the nasal bridge and an uneven, bumpy nasal bridge, so last week I had everything removed through an open approach.
Today I got the splint and stitches removed hahaha They say many people are shocked when the splint is removed... For me, rather than shock ㅋㅋㅋ my nose looked kind of funny... hahaha literally funny hahaha
They said Gore-Sili is much more difficult to remove than other implants, so the swelling is worse..ㅎ Since mine was an especially old implant, the adhesion was severe, but they said the swelling was less than expected..ㅎ
But the glabellar swelling I see is hugeㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ They say swelling after Gore-Sili removal takes several months to go down, sigh ㅠㅠ Aside from the glabellar swelling, the nasal bridge is just natural right now and I like it. I hope it doesn’t come down any more hahaha
For the nasal tip, I hope the cherry tomato disappears quickly.. and it becomes a bit slimmer. Right now, somehow ㅋㅋ it looks like a bulbous nose. They said that as time passes, it will get thinner and the alar area will come down more..ㅎ
Overall, I think it’s okay hahaha But the nostrils are very slightly asymmetricㅠㅠ The scar tissue was worse on my left side, so it is currently more swollen than the right... I don’t know if it will return once the swelling goes down, but unless you look closely, it isn’t noticeable, so I’m just going to live with it. hahahaha
I’ll keep observing it, manage it well, and come back with a one-month review.
