I hated the foreign-body sensation and the nasal tip being too high, so I had early removal on day 17, and now one week has passed. (Same clinic)
I’ll briefly write a one-week review.
Today is the first day after taking off the nasal tip bandage, and the scar and swelling went down faster than I expected, so I’m recovering quickly in daily life.
There was nothing harder than the first surgery, and there was almost no facial swelling, so the first week was not as difficult as I expected.
Because my nose was opened twice in a short period, the nasal tip is still red and swollen, but my face looks fine. Especially the nasal tip has become very oily.. and the skin condition got really bad.. I think I’ll have to wait about a month for this to recover.
I still can’t make a pig nose. It still hurts a bit when I touch the columella area. The nasal bridge and nasal tip are red and swollen, but not to the point that it bothers me a lot.
The inside of the columella is also a little swollen, but it doesn’t interfere with breathing.
The foreign-body sensation in the nasal tip disappeared right away, but some hardness still remains. Of course, it’s softer than before removal.
I originally had some nasal bridge height, so I had surgery without an implant, and if anything, because of the nasal tip cartilage removal + hump rasping, the height feels slightly lower.
But my overall image has barely changed from before, and I’m satisfied because the nasal bridge is aligned. (Before the cartilage removal, my image changed drastically because of the high nose.. The foreign-body sensation was also severe, so I decided on early removal right away.)
I told the doctor that if I had known the nasal tip would originally have this kind of foreign-body sensation, I never would have touched it.. I didn’t have any desire for nose height in the first place, and since my purpose was hump removal and rhinitis surgery (it was a hump nose accompanied by a deviated nose, so nasal obstruction was very severe), I was satisfied with those parts and asked for the nasal tip to be removed.
I truly think it was the right decision.. I also promised the doctor I would never touch my nose again.. Whenever I washed my face or touched my nasal tip, I just could not tolerate that hardness and the feeling of my philtrum pulling when I smiled.
At week 2, after even the internal stitches are removed, I plan to write a longer removal review.
