Last week at [Clinic A], I had the mesh and silicone removed, the support left in place, and my cartilage tied. Looking here, it seemed the director did not recommend cartilage tying, but when I mentioned it, they said, “You need cartilage there for a wide, blunt nose…” lol. It seems they really paid close attention to the aesthetic result. But cartilage tying should have been done with non-absorbable thread, and because I only looked into it casually, I used absorbable thread instead… T_T (That was my choice.) I am very happy with it now, but I am worried it may not last. I should have researched a little more. If absorbable thread is used, will it eventually return to how it was?? If it does return and I want to have only the cartilage tying redone, that would still count as revision surgery, right?
