I have terminal broker-paranoia, so please use your original ID rather than anonymous if possible T_T If you are deliberation between clinics, let us share information 😩 If anyone has had alar cartilage reinforcement or ear perichondrium grafting, please advise!! (I found people who had heard about it during consultations, but hardly anyone who actually had it done, so I am not sure whether I can get much information...) 1. Complete removal. They said cartilage repositioning and alar cartilage repositioning are different. The part you are worried about should be handled with nasal cartilage repositioning (sorry for the abbreviation). They will reinforce any areas that need it after opening. (The additional cost is a heavy burden.) They said there is no concern about skin depression, and all reinforcement will be done after opening if needed. How can anyone know that without opening? (I do think that makes sense!) They will assess the nasal bridge and refine it. Complete capsule removal. Other opinions / I do not know your natural nose, but this is already the nose you have. Asking whether it can return similarly is meaningless. Tell me what you know now and answer me~ But they said the bridge and shape will come down this much~ and that is why this surgery is included because that is what worries you~ They explained things well. Overall, they were not particularly interested in photos. No cotton splint. (A huge advantage.) The director was also very kind and listened for a long time, so I liked that. 2. Complete removal. They call it alar cartilage repositioning. (It seemed they meant they do not divide it into a separate operation from cartilage repositioning.) In your case, the skin is likely to become thinner than it is now after surgery, and it may become depressed or show through, so adding ear perichondrium would be good. (I also think my skin is thin and weak, so I am worried.) They will refine the bridge after checking its condition. They will partially remove the capsule after checking it. They said the original bridge would become visible and the overall shape would probably have some curvature. (Clinic 1 did not say that.) It is different from a saddle nose. Other opinions / (I do not remember well from here... I think I roughly asked about alar reinforcement.) They said adding a little cartilage would not change the shape much~ (It seemed they meant it was not very significant. I was asking about reinforcement when unavoidable because of damage, not for shape, so I was confused because I did not know how they would reinforce the alar area then! It did not seem like they would add a graft as in number 1.) You already removed and used various things, but you are removing them because you do not like the shape; adding a little more will not change anything~ Cotton splint. Depending on the situation, two or three days if short, up to a week if long. Follow-up visits until two months after surgery. The director was kind and explained everything I was curious about well. They said they would take care of me after surgery too, so I should not worry. The doctor was kind overall, which made me less tense, and I liked that. Clinic 2 is cheaper.. I am deliberation, please help me 😢
