If asymmetry appears after surgery (nostrils / nasal deviation), removal alone won't correct it. In that case, it's better to go to a hospital known for reconstruction. I also developed nostril asymmetry, and although I had surgery at a hospital known for removal, the asymmetry wasn't corrected. But if you don't have asymmetry and are simply dissatisfied with the shape (too flashy or not harmonious with your face), then in that case you may be able to return to your natural nose. For reference, it's been one year since my removal and I still don't have any discomfort at all. I removed the autologous costal cartilage and silicone and left only the ear cartilage, because they said they couldn't know how the tip would change if the ear cartilage were removed too, so I left it in. This varies from person to person, so it's not an absolute answer, so just use it as reference. Anyway, because ear cartilage itself is a soft material, there isn't any foreign-body sensation or anything like that. But if I were to go back, I think I would have just had the surgery at a hospital specializing in reconstruction. A removal clinic became famous, as the name says, for doing removals well, and a reconstruction hospital became famous for doing reconstruction well. Anyway, one last thing: before planning removal, I really hope you carefully choose the hospital. Contracture and similar issues happen a lot, so these days a no-implant nose has become trendy, but if you asked me to choose between a no-implant nose and a simple removal nose, I think I would choose a no-implant nose. Please decide carefully.
