First surgery: 6 mm silicone on the bridge, septal cartilage and ear cartilage at the tip Removal: silicone, repositioned ear cartilage / septum left in place / no capsule removal Reason for removal: by my standards the nose was made too high and looked unnatural, and the nose looked too long; the silicone on the bridge was visible and made it look red; the ear cartilage at the tip was visible and sometimes looked red; there was no contracture or inflammation, but I wanted it removed because I felt anxious about it During the consultation: I was told the silicone had to be removed no matter what, and I had wanted to leave the septum in place, but the director said that could create a step or look a little awkward, so they said they would not remove the original ear cartilage completely and would reposition it to create a natural line. The silicone had been extremely high, so I worried a lot that if only the ear cartilage at the tip was removed, the tip alone would end up too high. I was honestly worried to the point of tears right up until just before surgery, but the manager kept telling me it would be okay from the consultation until right before surgery and not to worry too much, and the director also told me again before surgery that they would make it as natural as possible without making the tip too high, so I was able to go into surgery feeling calm. Surgery started at 10:30 > ended around 12:15? Day of removal - The tip looked a bit lifted - Not much swelling or bruising - Slight pain (fine if I took medicine) Day 1 - Almost no bruising or swelling (my face actually looked better after removal than after the nose surgery) - No pain - The lifted tip was about the same as yesterday - My philtrum was swollen, so my upper lip looked lower (like a monkey) - The manager also sent a text with concern and encouragement Day 2 - I thought there would be no swelling, but it became a little worse than yesterday - The tip lift seemed a little less? It looked like it had come down - Around 9 a.m. the bleeding had mostly stopped, but the gauze placed on my nose had some clear yellow discharge on it? (I asked while visiting the hospital and it turned out to be nasal mucus lol) - I kept sneezing I think I sneezed 7 or 8 times just in the morning - I went to the hospital for treatment, but because the bleeding had still not completely stopped, I had to keep using nasal cotton I was scheduled to remove it on day 5 - After my first nose surgery, the nurses handled everything like removing the nose packing and stitches, and the doctor only checked my face for less than 2 minutes each time I went, but at this hospital the director personally checked everything, explained my current condition very clearly and in an easy-to-understand way, and took care of everything from start to finish, which made the comparison even more obvious and better - They removed some blood that had pooled inside my nose at the hospital, and it hurts Day 3 - Swelling is about the same as yesterday? - But because of the nose packing I had to breathe through my mouth, and my throat hurt like crazy seriously, today was on another level + I don't know if it was because of the nose packing or because of my own issue, but my throat was also very swollen so swallowing saliva and eating or drinking all hurt Day 4 - Since I couldn't breathe properly through my mouth, couldn't sleep well, and couldn't eat well, my immune system seemed to drop and I got tonsillitis.. Everyone else, definitely use a humidifier and take care of your health.. I'm seriously dying - The lifted tip got much better - The swelling on my face is almost gone above the nose, and only my cheeks and philtrum are a bit swollen? (kind of like a dog that got stung by a bee) - The incision wound seems to have healed a bit, so it doesn't hurt even when I smile! Day 5 - Getting the stitches removed was literally hell, it hurt so much I thought I tolerated pain pretty well, but it hurt like crazy, on another level - The tip has come down almost completely! It still seems like it may be just a tiny bit higher than before, but it's almost the same as it used to be. Still, it's only day 5, so I think it will come down a bit more - I had the nose packing removed today, but I have to keep putting in cotton at home, like taking it in and out? I feel dead seriously.. - Facial swelling is gradually going down! - Even though septal cartilage was left at the tip, it feels a little soft When I was worrying about removing my nose, reading other people's posts helped and comforted me a lot, so I thought I'd write one too.
