Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews

6 months after IVRO double jaw surgery, my TMJ is settled and my face shape has been neatly refined, so I am genuinely satisfied.

I really suffered for a long time because of my TMJ... I tried almost every treatment that was available, but it would only help for a while and then hurt again, and that kept repeating for years. Five years ago, when I consulted Dr. Shin at Yigoo Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, I was told that in some cases double jaw surgery with IVRO can improve TMJ symptoms, but the odds were said to be 50-50, so I was too scared to go through with it then, T_T. The idea of either outcome kept running through my mind, and I just kept worrying about it like that, so five years passed in a flash, lol. But as the pain got worse and worse, at some point I just made up my mind. I felt like I could not keep living like that anymore. Function was the biggest reason, and since I was going to do it anyway, I also had contouring done together, ^^. It has been 6 months now, and honestly the biggest change is that the pain has almost disappeared, haha. That is really huge. Before, I was conscious of it every time I opened my mouth, and if there was any sound I would worry about what other people thought, but none of that is there now. Even when my mouth is closed, I do not need to tense up, and I feel comfortable just staying still. I did not know it would reduce stress this much, lol. The swelling feels almost completely gone, and especially the side line and the line under my chin have been much more refined. Rather than looking dramatically different, my face just feels much more put together. These days I hear quite often that my face looks smaller, haha. I also love that when I take photos, I do not have to worry about angles the way I used to. My sensation is not yet 100 percent in the roof of my mouth and upper gums. But it has not been that long since the surgery, and the tingling sensation is gradually almost gone, so I am not worried~! At first I kept thinking, 'Is this going to last forever?' but now it keeps improving, to the point that those worries feel pointless. I can eat almost everything, lol. Meat, squid, nuts, all okay. If I eat for a long time, my jaw feels a little tired, but compared with the pain I had before, this is really nothing, haha. Honestly, the first 2 to 3 months were the hardest mentally. But around 6 months, it definitely feels like a stable phase. Right now, compared with my face before surgery, living without pain feels much more significant. If there is anyone still deliberating... I really want to say that with double jaw surgery, once you get past the early phase well, satisfaction definitely goes up, really! At this point, I would do it again if I went back, because the improvement was excellent both aesthetically and functionally, so my satisfaction is very high, ^^. I recommend Dr. Shin at Yigoo Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery~ haha. This is my real, out-of-pocket 6-month review.
