I have been stressed for a long time because of my underbite and my side profile. In particular, when I looked at photos taken from the side, my chin looked long and my face looked flat, so I really hated taking pictures. When I had no expression, people often told me I looked angry, which was really stressful. I decided to have double jaw surgery because I wanted to solve those worries. And it has already been 3 months since the surgery~I had double jaw surgery and contouring surgery for 3 areas (cheekbones, square jaw, and chin) at Outer Mouth Surgery. The time really seems to have passed so quickly. Right after surgery, I felt lost wondering when the swelling would go down, but now I can feel it changing little by little every day. The big swelling has gone down a lot, and when I compare photos, the difference is definitely visible hahaAt the 3-month mark, I visited the hospital and had the screw-like device that had been fixed into my gums removed. Until then I kept feeling a foreign-body sensation, and even when brushing my teeth I had to be careful, but after taking it out I definitely felt much more comfortable. My mouth felt much lighter, and oddly enough, even my mind felt lighter too.I am still eating mostly soft foods haha I am eating porridge, soft rice, and side dishes cut into small pieces, and I am still gradually getting used to chewing. Chewing without thinking, like before, is still difficult. I am still too scared to eat hard foods like diced radish kimchi or tough meat. I am being careful because I do not want to overdo it and end up in pain hahaFrom the outside, I look much more natural now, but the swelling has not completely gone down yet, so I am still wearing a mask when I go out. Especially in the mornings, I feel a little puffy, so I pay more attention to it. Still, the overall face line is definitely becoming more refined! The most satisfying thing is the side profile. Before, my side profile was my complex, so I did not even like taking photos, but now every time I look in the mirror I can clearly feel that it has changed. My whole face looks slimmer, and my jawline feels more defined, so even I find it amazing hahaOnce the swelling is completely gone and my expressions become more natural, I want to dress up nicely and take lots of photos. I want to go on trips too, and I hope the day comes soon when I can smile comfortably without a mask~~!I am still in the recovery process, but I am satisfied, and I am looking forward to what comes next~
