I got SMILE LASIK

I had SMILE LASIK in my early twenties. I originally had high myopia and severe astigmatism, so the first clinic I visited recommended implantable lenses. I visited a few more places and had it done at one that said SMILE LASIK was possible. I had surgery about a week after the consultation. Honestly, I was scared, but it ended faster than I expected. During surgery, I could only see light, but I could keep hearing the doctor and nurses' voices, which was a little scary T_T. Still, it did not take long, so it was not overwhelmingly frightening. Wearing sunglasses afterward was recommended but not mandatory, so I just rode home by car. I could see well immediately after surgery. It was amazing to see well without glasses. I had surgery in the afternoon, and my eyes hurt so much that evening that I could not sleep... But the pain lasted only one day, and I could resume daily life the next day, which was great. It has been quite a while since my LASIK, and dryness is definitely much worse than before surgery. My glare was already severe, so there is almost no difference, but someone I know said their glare became worse. When I drink alcohol or am tired, my vision gets slightly blurry. Still, I am so satisfied because I do not need glasses! As long as I use artificial tears consistently, there is no major discomfort. I am truly happy and satisfied because LASIK made life so much easier.
