My vision was not originally that poor: 0.7–0.8 and 0.4 (with severe astigmatism). Because of the severe astigmatism, I could not clearly see the faces of people at the traffic light across the street. Even when I tried prescription glasses, I felt dizzy, and I also tried astigmatism contact lenses, but my dry eyes were so severe that they kept popping out. I only wasted money, so I got LASEK. Everyone asked why I was doing it, but when someone who used to have good vision develops astigmatism, it is extremely inconvenient T_T Then I saw an Instagram ad for a college-student discount... lol. I went in for a consultation after seeing it and came out having paid. I did it without researching, so I cannot compare it with other clinics, but in conclusion, my vision did not improve dramatically. Because of my astigmatism, my expected vision was 1.0. Even now, it has consistently been 0.8–1.0, and a little astigmatism has returned in my right eye (it has been a while lol). Going from minus vision to 1.0 might make the world seem amazing, but for me it just feels like some inconveniences are gone. The glare bothers me a little, but I think it is true that people who have not had LASIK or LASEK do not recommend it, while those who have had it do. The doctor who operated on me is very kind, but because this is a high-volume clinic, the people who examine me change every time I go... They give only a cursory examination T_T After waiting two hours, the consultation lasts one minute and 30 seconds lol. The price is really good, but I am not sure I would recommend it to friends who want a consultation and have many questions.

The pre-LASEK examination told me which of LASEK, LASIK, and SMILE would be possible. I had moderate-to-high myopia and average corneal thickness, so they said LASEK was possible; since I also already had dry eye, I chose LASEK. With an…
