I think I did have some nasal bridge height, but I was always disappointed with the height of my nasal tip. Rather than pretty, it was just... a long, low nose? I didn’t want my overall image to change drastically, so I started looking for clinics that could make the parts I was unhappy with look prettier. I read reviews diligently, and I feel like I did every bit of online and in-person research possible. In the end, the answers from the clinics were all similar, so finding a director whose style felt right was important. I made my final decision to have surgery at this clinic, and the reason was that the clinic is known for elegantly natural-looking noses, and I liked that the director gave detailed explanations, comparing my CT scan with my actual face and explaining how the surgery would produce the look I wanted. I wanted to push the nasal tip a bit higher, but the director said it probably wouldn’t look harmonious and held me back, which I also liked. We decided to proceed with a nasal bridge implant, short nose correction, and autologous costal cartilage for the nasal tip. Since it was my first rhinoplasty, I wanted a conservative surgery, so I told them I wanted it to be refined but as close to natural as possible. It’s been about 2 months since surgery, and my original nasal bridge is just slightly higher, and because the nasal tip has lifted nicely to match it, my overall image hasn’t changed much, but my nose has become pretty! Looking at my facial proportions, my nose did seem a little short, but the short nose correction balanced out the proportions, and most of all, my friends say my nasolabial angle is pretty. I think it was good that they adjusted the surgery according to the look I personally wanted.
