I’m on my third surgery now, and my nose has been worked on with silicone, ear cartilage, and donated costal cartilage. My nasal mucous membrane is red, and inside there’s a foreign-body sensation like there’s a thread and a toothpick stuck near the septum toward the philtrum. My skin has thinned, and my skin itches. I’ve been putting up with it for two years because I’ve been busy with childcare. I want to have the nasal implants/materials removed But the hospital says it will collapse and the nose shape will become serious, so I’m holding out. If anyone has removed a nose that had a lot done to it, please leave a post about whether the removal went safely and well, and whether functionally you recovered well too
