I have septal extension surgery and a columellar strut in my nose using autologous costal cartilage, but my breathing is uncomfortable, so I want to remove them. But they said my original nasal septum has become very weak, so it might collapse if they’re removed. The hospital where I had surgery didn’t tell me about this, but it seems like there’s something called septal reinforcement. If anyone here has had septal reinforcement while removing implants to prevent the nose from collapsing, such as saddle nose, please leave a comment.
