At week 4, they removed the septal cartilage used as a nasal tip strut, and because my nose was originally a bit droopy, they did cartilage binding so it would droop less! The reasons for removal were a change in image, having no implant so only the nasal tip became longer (no harmony), a pointy nasal tip, and stiffness. I had it done at the hospital where I originally had surgery, but since I didn’t have inflammation or complications, there was a small cost. The first surgery didn’t hurt at all, but now I have a little bit of a dull, aching pain. I really didn’t have swelling during the first surgery either, and I still barely have any now! The doctor said that because my nose was originally droopy, there is almost no chance it will turn upward, and although they tied the cartilage, it may droop more than this current nose. Has anyone actually ended up droopier than their natural nose...? They said that because they only raised the nasal tip with autologous cartilage without using an implant, they couldn’t shave down much, so it may look slightly like a hump, but I think it’s better because it looks more natural... I can’t really see the shape well right now, but I can feel that the nasal tip, which had become longer, has shortened a lot!
