I finally had my 5-year-old nose implant taken out lol It was a nose with a 3 mm implant and ear cartilage~ After a little over 5 years since my nose surgery, at some point the silicone started showing through really badly.. Even though I had ear cartilage used, the nasal tip was still hard all the same..
I had it removed at the hospital where I originally had the surgery, and the cost came to a little under 900,000 won including the sleep anesthesia fee~ When I first went for the consultation, the consultant said the shape would not return 100% to how it used to be, and since I had also had the hump shaved down, what would I do if the shape collapsed after removal? During the director’s consultation, he said contracture could occur, and if I didn’t like it after removal and ended up needing revision surgery, it would be very expensive~ He talked as if I would definitely dislike the shape, so I got kind of scared.. lol Despite this semi-threatening talk, the reason I had it removed at the hospital where I had the surgery was the price!!!! lol I asked two other famous places about the cost through KakaoTalk, and the base price was 3 million won.. Without even needing to think about it, I booked at the place where I had it done. Unless you have severe inflammation or other side effects, and unless the director was someone who ruined your first nose surgery, personally I dare to recommend having it removed at the same place~ (I’m sure there are people who hesitated after hearing the price, like I did)
During the consultation, I didn’t ask the director any questions or make any requests, and when I was lying on the operating table, all I said to the director was, please make it pretty.. lol After surgery, I had a splint on for 4 days, and the hospital was supposed to remove it the next day, but on the night of the 4th day I was so, so curious that I ripped the splint off by myself lololol After checking, there was some swelling, but there were absolutely none of the problems I had worried about, like an uneven nasal bridge, dents, contracture, etc. By nature, I don’t really notice small changes and I don’t pay much attention to them. It’s swollen and lower, but personally I think it’s much prettier, and regardless of the shape, I was just so grateful that there was truly nothing inside my nose My rounder nose suits my overall face much better~~
I think there are actually quite a few people who had their hump nose shaved, silicone placed, and nasal tip raised who are considering removal. Don’t be too scared and just go for it~! But before surgery, I had zero expectations and let everything go, thinking, ‘After removal I’ll become Zhu Bajie-nosed lol I’ll just wear my makeup well, whatever’.. lol Maybe that’s why I’m really so satisfied with the result It’s now day 5 and I’m on my way to the hospital to have the splint removed (though I already removed it), and I took photos whenever I could, so I’ll post a photo review soon!
