I had donated rib cartilage used as a support to correct a short nose from a functional standpoint, but after keeping it for about a year and a half, I had it removed. It was so hard, and the daily stress of feeling like it wasn’t part of me eventually made me look for revision surgery ㅠㅠ If someone around me said they were getting nose surgery, I’d want to do everything I could to stop them from using donated rib cartilage. No, honestly, rib cartilage itself is so hard that I’d absolutely want to talk them out of it. These days I really love my soft, flexible nose. Ah, of course, I didn’t remove the silicone in my nasal bridge; I only had cartilage repositioning done!
