I was so stressed about my long nose. T_T Then I decided on revision rhinoplasty, and it has already been three months. I really feel like I have escaped having a long nose now. At first, I did not really understand why alar lifting was done, but after three months, I can see that this part has quite a significant effect. What I heard during follow-up visits, rather than during the pre-revision consultation, has stayed with me more. Dr. Choi Min said that swelling subsides at different rates in each area after revision rhinoplasty, and that the nasal tip settles last. He told me not to judge the shape at one month. At the time, I thought it was just something he said, but after two months, my nasal tip really did keep refining little by little. The line of the tip drooping downward in profile is gone, so even from the same angle, my nose definitely looks shorter. The lowered glabella area became more noticeable after the swelling went down, and the transition from my forehead to nasal bridge is gentler than before. My breathing has also remained more comfortable than before surgery. Even now, three months after revision rhinoplasty, the height initially created has not changed. I was told there is still some residual swelling, so I plan to wait and see longer. These days, I hardly ever worry about angles because of my nose. Thinking of the years I was stressed about my long nose, I feel at ease because it seems to have finally been properly corrected this time.
