As time passed after my first surgery, my nose strangely looked longer whenever I smiled, and the tip looked blunt because it was pressed downward T_T Since the nasal tip was low and pressed down, it felt as though the overall proportions of my face were disrupted... I was so stressed whenever I looked at it that I eventually decided on revision rhinoplasty!
While researching, I went for a consultation with Dr. A at [Clinic A]. The doctor listened carefully to my concerns and accurately analyzed why my nose looked longer when I smiled and why the tip appeared pressed down.
They said that to properly create and maintain the natural straight-with-a-subtle-curve line I wanted, the columella needed to be firmly supported. They recommended using costal cartilage, which provides strong support.
The doctor was already well known for handling costal cartilage skillfully, and because they explained only the areas that needed correction, I became convinced that I should have surgery with them..!
The procedure used autologous costal cartilage, and perhaps because the nasal-tip support was made sturdy, the pressed-down nasal-tip issue that had caused me the most stress was clearly corrected! Once the way my nose used to stretch downward when smiling was corrected, my appearance looked much softer and more refined, which I am very satisfied with T_T The previously crooked line was also straightened, and it turned out as the dimensional yet natural straight-with-a-subtle-curve line I wanted~
Since it was revision surgery and even used autologous costal cartilage, my worries before surgery were truly enormous..T_T But the doctor improved every single concern I mentioned without missing anything, so I feel very grateful. After surgery, the doctor personally checks my progress, and the coordinator and staff also take meticulous care of me, so I am recovering comfortably!
