I had my first surgery in the winter of 2016: silicone for the bridge, septal cartilage for the tip. Because I had a bulbous nose, I also had tip fat removal and alar reduction. Before 6 months had passed after the first surgery, the area between the bridge and the tip separated and a hollow formed, so I requested an AS and had it again 8 months after the first surgery. After that, I just lived with it even though I wasn’t happy with the shape, because I couldn’t get surgery again. Then about 2 and a half years after the second surgery, the tip started separating again and the hollowing symptom came back. When I visited the hospital, they said it was because I have strong philtrum muscles, and unless I wanted to have it redone with chest bone, I should just live with it... They said the hollowing wouldn’t get worse, so I just lived with it, but now, 4 years after that consultation, the hollowing has gotten worse againㅠ I’m still thinking a lot about whether to get surgery again or just live with it. They took too much columella from my nose, so I’m living with a hooked nose, and maybe because the doctor is an ENT specialist, I feel like there’s no aesthetic sense. I hope you think carefully before getting surgery.
