I had surgery 10 years ago, and I’m thinking of removing everything, including the silicone and Medpor. While going to consultations for full removal, I said I was worried about columellar retraction, and they told me that columellar retraction isn’t something they can know during surgery and that you only find out after 2-3 months. They said if I’m worried, I should choose to use ear cartilage as a preventive measure, so I’m really torn They won’t even tell me whether the likelihood of columellar retraction is high or not Having foreign materials in my nose is so stressful that I want to go back to my natural nose, but even though ear cartilage is my own tissue, couldn’t there be side effects later? I also feel like it might be hard and uncomfortable.. It seems like a lot of people remove ear cartilage too.. Leave ear cartilage because I’m worried about columellar retraction Vs Remove everything without leaving ear cartilage There are a lot of people here debating this too, right? I don’t know how to decide Please give me some advice
