I’ve booked my nose surgery and I keep looking up reviews. It’s my first nose surgery, and I’m worried about recovery, so I’m looking at everything, not just the clinic I booked, but also things like YouTube. From what I’ve seen, people say that after nose surgery, breathing feels stuffy and it’s hard because their nose keeps running. I know you’re not supposed to blow your nose after getting your nose done, so what are you supposed to do in that situation? Not being able to breathe can’t really be helped, so I’m planning to keep a humidifier by the head of my bed, but a runny nose would be really more uncomfortable in daily life. Would it be bad to gently wipe the nose a bit with something like sterile gauze or a cotton swab? I’m asking because I’m genuinely curious. Besides this, please tell me what else is uncomfortable or difficult after nose surgery. For reference, I’m planning to use autologous costal cartilage.
