I did so much online and in-person research while thinking about getting rhinoplasty, and now that it’s been about a month, I like how my nose looks, so I’m leaving a review!!
⭐ Why I chose the hospital!! First, I found out about this place while doing my research, and when I looked it up, it turned out to be a place where the director is well known for rhinoplasty. The director also gave an extremely detailed consultation, so my mom listened from the side and said they explained things much more thoroughly than other places and told me to do it here. I also liked the director’s style, so I decided on it lol
⭐ The director’s style (?) Since I found the place for surgery while looking through this community, I knew rhinoplasty can have a lot of side effects. More than anything, I didn’t want to get taken advantage of.. and I was really worried about side effects, so I studied rhinoplasty a lot before going to the consultation. I asked so many things during the consultation, like whether my nose needed osteotomy (it’s not like I had a hump, and I didn’t want it..), how much the columella would be brought down, how they would make the nasal tip shape, the silicone implant thickness in mm, short nose correction, and so on. The director didn’t seem annoyed at all and clearly explained what was necessary and what wasn’t, which I liked. It somehow felt like they would check things well even after surgery?
⭐ Reflecting and understanding my needs I thought there are some directors who have a very strong personal rhinoplasty style even if you say exactly what style you want.. so I was looking for a place that would tailor it as much as possible to a nose that suits my face and the nose I wanted. When I saw how they designed it during the consultation, I felt like they really understood the kind of nose I wanted, like Shin Ye-eun’s or Shin Se-kyung’s. Another important thing for me was a place that doesn’t just recommend everything!! During the consultation here, I didn’t feel like they were excessively recommending this and that at all haha
For all these reasons, I decided on the place with the director whose aesthetic seemed to match mine best. On the day of surgery, I printed out photos of the nose I wanted, and during the re-consultation before surgery, the director looked at them almost obsessively lol and said they would match the nose style in the photos I brought… I think that helped reduce my worries a bit before surgery.
Even before surgery, I contacted the hospital quite a lot, but after surgery, I don’t know why I had so many questions I contacted them way more than before surgery, and they never seemed annoyed and replied really quickly, which I really loved
Oh, and I’m originally the type to swell quite a bit, but after receiving hyperbaric oxygen therapy as aftercare, the swelling visibly went down a lot. That was so fascinating lolol This made me realize why everyone looks for a place that not only does the surgery well but also has good aftercare..
Now that my nasal bridge and nasal tip are higher, my face has more dimension too, and I’m really glad I did it!!
