Review of protruding mouth surgery First of all, if anyone else says they’re going to do it, I want to stop them no matter what.. Unless it’s an extremely severe case, if you don’t have trouble eating or breathing, I don’t recommend this either.. I think living the way you were born isn’t bad.. You lose more than you gain Honestly, what I gained was mental suffering. I had genioplasty + ASO together My lower jaw protrudes more, I lost my sense of taste and smell, and maybe my airway has narrowed Difficulty breathing, no sensation in my teeth, my face got longer, and looking toothless/sunken around the mouth are just the basics What’s harder is that I developed something like astigmatism and my vision is blurry.. (daily life is difficult) They say this is probably an aftereffect of general anesthesia. I also have no sensation in my chin tip and developed a cobblestone chin wrinkle I’m writing like this, but right now the inside of my mouth is a complete mess with all kinds of stitches and devices like screws? On the first day, I kept pouring out bloody phlegm, vomiting blood, and having nosebleeds I felt that a person can die in an instant.. Please don’t do it.. Every time I look in the mirror, reality hits me. I look 10 years older. Be grateful for how you look now. This is also major surgery, and after the surgery I can so clearly feel that something is wrong with my body, so the depression and sense of loss are beyond words
